Cocktail of the month: Winter Bourbon Smash

Winter Bourbon Smash

Bartender Stuart Clarke shares his recipe for the Bourbon Smash, our cocktail of the month for November.

You’ll need: a Boston shaker, a Hawthorn strainer and a highball glass.


42g raspberry jam (1 small jar)
25ml Bulleit bourbon
12.5ml Cointreau
25ml orange juice
Juice of half a lime
Splash of soda water
Garnish: orange segment


– Add the jam, bourbon, Cointreau, orange juice, lime and cubed ice to a Boston glass and shake
– Pour into a rocks glass with a few ice cubes
– Top with splash of soda and cap with crushed ice
– Garnish with an orange segment
