Cocktail of the month: Mon Chouette

Mon Chouette

Bartender Emily Morrell looks back fondly on her time studying in France in a town who’s mascot was an owl (or chouette) – her Chambord cocktail is an ode to the people and the place.

You’ll need: Boston shaker, a Hawthorne strainer and a rocks glass


25ml Disaronno
25ml Chambord
Half a lime, juice only
12.5ml sugar syrup
Garnish: wedge of lime, blackberry


– Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice
– Add all of the ingredients to a Boston shaker and shake with cubed ice until the tin frosts over
– Strain over the crushed ice
– Garnish with a wedge of lime and a blackberry
