Cocktail of the month: Mince Pie Martini
Get into the festive spirit with our December cocktail of the month, the Mince Pie Martini, which we serve with homemade shortbread stars. Bartender Joe Ashworth shares the recipe.
You’ll need a Boston shaker, a strainer and a martini glass.
20ml Asbach brandy
20ml Bols yoghurt liqueur
15ml mince pie syrup
mincemeat shortbread star
– Chill a martini glass with crushed ice
– To a Boston shaker, add the Asbach brandy, Frangelico, Bols yoghurt liqueur, mince pie syrup and mincemeat
– Double strain into a martini glass (try to get a little bit of height to aerate the drink)
– Garnish with a shortbread star and a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg
