Cocktail of the month: Jamaican Sling

This month, Bartender Sam Claridge shares his takes on the classic sling cocktail. It’s essentially a Caribbean twist on a Long Island Iced Tea, featuring a double dose of rum (dark and coconut), fiery ginger beer and a few fruity additions for sweetness.
You’ll need: a Boston shaker, a Hawthorne strainer and a highball glass.
Ingredients
12.5ml Kraken rum
12.5ml Koko Kanu rum
12.5ml peach schnapps
12.5ml pear liqueur
12.5 sugar syrup
Fever-Tree ginger beer
Half a lime, juice only
Garnish: lime wedge
Method
– Add the the ingredients to the shaker, and then shake over crushed ice until the tin frosts over
– Strain into a highball glass filled with cubed ice
– Top with ginger beer
– Garnish with a lime wedge
