Christmas cocktail: Fairytale of York
Our last Christmas special this year is from Bartender Mila Cartwright. Inspired by the classic festive number, the Fairytale of York is a distant relative of the Espresso Martini.
You’ll need: a Boston shaker, a Hawthorne strainer and a coupe glass.
25ml Slingsby vodka
25ml chocolate sauce
12.5ml vanilla syrup
50ml double cream
Garnish: cocoa powder
– Chill the coupe glass with crushed ice
– Add all of the ingredients to the shaker and shake until the tin frosts over
– Discard the ice in the glass and strain the cocktail
– Sprinkle cocoa powder over half the glass
