Cocktail of the month: Louisiana Punch

Our August cocktail of the month comes from Sam Claridge, who’s created a late summer punch with the spirit of New Orleans, Louisiana – Southern Comfort.

You’ll need a Boston shaker, Hawthorn strainer, fine strainer and a rocks glass.

Ingredients

40ml Southern Comfort
12.5ml peach schnapps
28g orange marmalade
50ml apple juice
Juice of half a lemon
8 mint leaves
Garnish: orange wedge, sprig of mint

Method

– Add the Southern Comfort, peach schnapps, marmalade, apple and lemon juices and the mint to a Boston shaker and shake hard with cubed ice
– Double strain into a rocks glass filled with cubed ice
– Cap with a little crushed ice and garnish with an orange wedge and sprig of mint
